Loch to peat bog

Loch to peat bog. As a further illustration of yesterday’s post this hoard of everyday Iron Age objects was cast into a loch as an offering to the ancient gods. Two thousand years later they were uncovered by a man cutting peat. n.b. one of the rusted metal objects at the left is Scotland’s earliest discovered peat spade blade.
